Val’Keleth (or in the Human world Glen)

Val’Keleth. Oh man this guy has been through many MANY iterations and was used as an RP character who was this big 6’5 Jason Momoa long haired barbarian type Dragon guy (he could turn into a dragon or half dragon or whatever at will) who was a great swordfighter but had a short short temper. He had a healer friend a half orc half elf names Darok who usually kept him in like (he’s gonna have to get a page too).

But I digress. The current version of him came to me while I was on Hero Forge just mucking about having fun just creating minis and I literally went “Hmmm Maybe Ozrai needs a boyfriend and will stop slutting around with everyone and everything.” NO literally that I what I said and I was met by protests of the blue horned bitch. In a previous post I DID call him ‘that bitch’.

But I digress. Val still maintains his muscled warrior barbarian physique, his dark long hair and green eyes from previous incarnations, however for this current one at least for the world I am attempting to build he is a rather burly powerful fiend who shouldn’t know much about fiend magic or others in this world but he does.

(side note I’ll build the world out, its just taking me a while but I’ll do my best to explain a few things)

So in the realm of fiends, or plane of fiends rather, they tend to be categorized into a class of some sort. Basically your casters, your ranged, your meat shields, and healers. Val’Keleth is a meat shield and had been raised to fight and defend his people since he was youngling. Eventually he rose up to be a respected fighter and military strategist whenever fights or wars broke out.

However, he and his best friend at the time had ended up practicing magic, something he technically shouldn’t have been doing. (The elder council of his people wanted to keep these classes separate and would punish people who tried to blend them together.) He did this in secret with his friend for a while until the friend got caught and banished to the human world as a slave to whomever held their vessel (basically turned them into a genie of sorts).

This left him a bit distraught and he thought he’d never tough it again…until he found Ozrai and bonded with him. He found that Ozrai had been gifted, very gifted in not only the fiendish magic their kind used but other areas as well, and decided to practice with him. After all Val’s friend happened to be Ozrai’s older brother. They were better at practicing in secret.

Of course these sessions blossomed into something more and Val’Keleth ended up falling for Ozrai, and Ozrai for Val’Keleth. A relationship that technically was acceptable, gender of a person you are interested in is not an issue in this society. The only issue was they had been sharing magic and combat techniques with each other, even though they are technically in separate classes. While it was difficult for the two their love bloomed even when one or the other got summoned by some idiot human.

Their little shared secret and their relationship however was not to last as they were caught in a rather, imposing ritual together, by one of the elders and, since Ozrai has a relative who IS in the Elder council, he was granted immunity (at least this time around), but Val’Keleth was not and should have been put to death. But the elder council is a bunch of assholes and decided to banish him to the mortal realm, not as a genie type, but as a powerless immortal, bound with chains and forced to live as wretched humans do. He gets to live in a world where everything dies and fades while he has to watch it die and fade away so he tries not to get attached.

After a brief adjustment period and allying himself with a powerful family, he found his way through the mortal world all the while searching for a way to get his abilities back and to reunite with Ozrai again. Hence the collar around his neck.

Currently he is working as a bookshop/cafe store owner and goes by the name of Glen Valery. A tanned humanoid who wears glasses and has a gotee on his chin.

This is the start of his backstory with Ozrai and I am hoping to develop it more. Especially the world building that I definitely need to work on. (His photo is in Ozrai’s post but it is here too).
